Ron Rash

Ron Rash is the author of numerous novels, poetry collections, and short stories.  His stories are the literary equivalent of a smooth, rich bourbon.  He is the Parris Distinguished Professor in Appalachian Cultural Studies at Western Carolina University.  Among his most well-known works are One Foot in Eden, Serena (made into a film), The World Made Straight (made into a film), Burning Bright, and The Cove.  His latest collection of stories is In the Valley: Stories and a Novella Based on Serena. His latest novel is The Caretaker.
