Alan Gratz

Alan Gratz was born and raised in Knoxville, TN.  He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a College Scholar's Degree (not surprisingly, specializing in creative writing) and a Master's in English Education.  We're lucky that he know calls Western NC home - he's a frequent visitor to Malaprop's. Alan has written numerous children's and YA novels, including those below.  He lives near Asheville with his wife and fellow author, Wendi, and daughter Jo.

His upcoming novel is Heroes: A Novel of Pearl Harbor, due out in February 2024. It is available to preorder, and Alan will sign or personalize copies.
