Oxford American magazine, Yep Roc Records, and Malaprop’s Bookstore & Café are proud to present the Oxford American's 2018 North Carolina Music Issue Celebration on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Malaprop’s Bookstore & Café Asheville, NC. This free to the public event will feature a diverse group of writers reading stories from the issue, along with musical punctuations by co-curator, Raleigh-based songwriter Tift Merritt.
Featured guests at the Asheville readings will include Nickole Brown, Wiley Cash, David Joy, Jon Kirby, and C.L. White, and musical guest Tift Merritt. Oxford American deputy editor Maxwell George, a North Carolina native, will emcee the event.
The event is made possible with the support of co-presenting sponsors North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources and North Carolina Humanities Council.
