Join us for our monthly poetry reading series coordinated by Mildred Barya. This month's event features Terence Degnan, Bruce Beasley, Erin Hoover, and John Hoppenthaler

This is a hybrid event with limited in-store seating and the option to attend online. The event is free but registration is required for both in-person and virtual attendance.

All featured books will be available for purchase at the event. This event also includes a book signing.

If you would like a signed book but can't attend in person, you may order a signed copy in advance.

Bruce Beasley is the author of nine collections of poetry, most recently Prayershreds (Orison Books, 2023), All Soul Poems Returned and Theophobia, both from BOA Editions. Erin Hoover was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She is the author of two poetry collections: Barnburner (Elixir, 2018), which won the Antivenom Poetry Award and a Florida Book Award, and No Spare People (Black Lawrence, 2023). Her poems have appeared in The Best American Poetry, The Cincinnati Review, Poetry Northwest, Shenandoah, and The Sun. John Hoppenthaler’s books of poetry include Night Wing Over Metropolitan Area, Domestic Garden, and Anticipate the Coming Reservoir, all with Carnegie Mellon University Press. With Kazim Ali, he co-edited a volume of essays on the poetry of Jean Valentine, This-World Company (University of Michigan Press). His poetry, essays, and interviews have appeared inPloughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review, New York Magazine, Southern Review and elsewhere. He’s currently a Professor of Creative Writing and Literature at East Carolina University.
