Staff Reviews

Caitlin Kiernan is my all time favorite dark fantasy writer! Beautiful & terrifying, this collection of short stories is the perfect place to start. Think... Flannery O'Connor meets H.P. Lovecraft. You'll fall in love with Kiernan's haunting, deliciously dark Southern Gothic style.

An albino girl wanders the sun-scorched back roads of a south Georgia summer, following the bidding of an angel or perhaps only voices in her head, searching out and slaying ancient monsters who have hidden themselves away in the lonely places of the world.
