About the Author

Madelyn Lantz is a writer, singer-songwriter, and painter. She was originally an artist on the Comstock/Paylode Records label receiving heavy radio rotation in Europe and the U.S. with her two singles "Please Don't Make Me Change" and "Scared To Love" released under the artist name "Lavender". Madelyn later released her first full length CD entitled Memory Tree. Madelyn holds an MA degree in Expressive Art Therapy and is a Licensed Professional Counselor working with children and adults using the expressive arts modalities. You can listen to Madelyn's music at Joe Longobardi is an illustrator, photographer, and musician. He attended the Art Institute of Boston where he worked on his BFA. He has been a contributing cartoonist for newspapers and magazines including Woman's World, First for Women, The Boston University Alumni, and King Features Syndicate's daily comic strip The New Breed that was distributed to newspapers across the United States. His photography has appeared in numerous books and magazines including Mel Bay Publications, Our State Magazine, The New York Times, and The Laurel of Asheville Magazine (NC). His photography has been exhibited at The Biltmore Estate, The Asheville Art Museum, Southeast Gallery of Photographic Art, The Blowers Gallery at UNCA, The Emporium in Knoxville, and The Black Mountain Center for the Arts (NC). In 2014, Joe released a self published book of street photography entitled Urban Photography From the Streets of a Bohemian Mountain Town.
