Summer’s over and you’ve kissed your beach reads goodbye just in time to fall for reading all over again. Malaprop’s Bookstore and Cafe is here for you, YA fans! Announcing our first ever young adult author festival, YALLAPALOOZA 2017. From September 15th through October 23rd, meet publishing’s most popular YA authors at events happening in the store and all around the city of Asheville! There’s something for everyone: edgy realism, smart sci-fi, digital dystopias, ‘banned’ books, nail-biting horror, fantasy, and New York Times bestsellers galore.

Our chart-topping authors are pulling out all the stops with in-store events, themed signings, costume contests, and a raffle as irresistible as your first crush. For every event you attend, you’ll be entered into a drawing for gift certificates and author swag. Some events are ticketed and others will be standing room only!
