Mockingjay Release Party

We had a great turnout for our Mockingjay party on Tuesday night. Caroline "Effie Trinket" Green hosted our very own Hunger "Games," including "Name the District," "Who's That Character?" and the popular "Gale vs. Peeta" debate. There was relatively little bloodshed but lots of fun. Many of our creative guests came not only in costume but in character, from the stumbling Hamitch to the always humble;) Cameron. We deeply regret our bookstore's lack of trees, but our Rue managed to give an impressive demonstration of her skills by leaping from bookcase to bookcase. Costume contest grand prize winner Hamitch came complete with a flask full of slurred and surly advice for his pupils.		Guests dined on some fabulous snacks, including these awesome Mockingjay cookies from some local artisans.
Cameron Bright, winner of the "Best Catching Fire Character" category.		Even the glitteratti from the Capitol deigned to grace our humble party!
"May the Odd Be Ever in Your Favor!"		The crowd certainly knew their stuff! Their encyclopedic knowledge of the series made short work of even the most obscure questions and many prizes were won by all involved.
