THREE MUSIC BIOGRAPHIES PRESENTED BY JETER, GRANDA & SILVER
John Jeter is the author of Rockin’ a Hard Place, a memoir of his journey from burnt-out
journalist to promoter and “misfit music club owner.” Rockin’ a Hard Place is “a uniquely and skillfully told, ultimately inspiring look at an until-now unexplored side of the music business, “says
Peter Cooper of The Tennessean.
Michael Supe Granda presents his book, It Shined: the Saga of the Ozark Mountain
Daredevils, an account of the Missourian band Ozark Mountain Daredevils, of
which Supe was the bassist. The book
follows the band in and out of the spotlight, from top of the charts to the
bottom of the barrel.
Author of Backward-Facing Man, Don Silver returns with Clive, a portrait of historic record
man Clive Davis and chronicle of a turning point in popular American music. Clive is praised as “Totally compelling
from the very start" by musician Rosanne Cash.
The event will be
followed by a booksigning.
