An associate professor at Western Carolina University, Anna Fariello will discuss her recent book, Cherokee Basketry: From the Hands of Our Elders. Fariello, a former research fellow at the Smithsonian Museum of American Art, studied this art form-passed down from mother to daughter and employing natural resources-and its impact on the culture and the environment.
