Mindfulness Practices for ADHD
For many adults and children with ADHD, the core issue involves modulating attention and distractibility. This seminar will explore the practice of mindfulness in everyday life by sharing simple and practical strategies to practice everyday mindfulness. With Coach Rudy Rodriguez from the ADHD Center for Success.
This workshop will introduce you to the history and concepts of Reiki, the seven chakras, and what happens during a treatment session. Learn how this healing energy modality can bring physical, emotional and/or spiritual healing into your life. This workshop will be facilitated by Deborah Lloyd, Usui and Karuna Reiki Master, from West Asheville Massage & Healing Arts, and author of Believe and it is True: A Story of Healing and Life Lessons.

Four out of ten Americans either suffered or have known someone who has suffered from Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Binge Eating Disorder. Eating disorders are complex disorders, seldom talked about or understood. Eating disorders do not discriminate between age, gender, race or class – no one is immune. Join T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating as we dispel myths and cover the facts about eating disorders.
Heather Wingert, LCSW is Director for T.H.E. (Treatment, Healing, and Education) Center for Disordered Eating in Asheville. T.H.E. Center is the only organization in Western North Carolina providing treatment, healing, and education for disordered eating. T.H.E. Center provides support and resources for individuals and families affected by disordered eating and related body issues.
